Create and restore desktop backups

Write a local workspace ZIP from the desktop app and restore it additively without overwriting current records by default.

  • Sign in and confirm the active workspace.

Before you start

Back up now creates a device-local workspace backup in a folder you choose. Yazora keeps the latest seven managed copies on that device; cloud sync is not a replacement for an external backup.

Complete the task

  1. In the desktop app, open Data Export settings.
  2. Choose the backup folder, then select Back up now.
  3. Wait for completion and copy critical backups to protected external storage.
  4. For restore, choose the intended backup and review the additive-restore notice.
  5. Inspect restored items before removing duplicates or older copies.

Check the result

The backup ZIP exists outside the live workspace. Restore adds recoverable records instead of silently overwriting current content by default.
