Use comments and Private Notes

Discuss the document or a block while keeping personal annotations private.

  • Sign in and confirm the active workspace.

Before you start

Document comments discuss the whole item, block comments anchor discussion to content, and a Private Note is visible only to its author.

Complete the task

  1. Open Comments for document-wide discussion, or use a block action for a block comment.
  2. Write the comment and submit it to the conversation.
  3. Use Add Private Note when the annotation must remain personal.
  4. Resolve or remove discussion items only when their context is no longer needed.

Check the result

Authorized collaborators can see shared comments; the Private Note remains visible only to the account that created it.
