Recover missing or damaged content

Check workspace, filters, sync, history, Trash, conflict copies, and backups in the safest order.

Before you begin
  • Sign in and confirm the active workspace.

Before you start

A missing document may be in another workspace, filtered out, waiting to sync, moved to Trash, preserved as a conflict copy, or available in history or backup.

Complete the task

  1. Confirm the account and active workspace, then clear folder, tag, and search filters.
  2. Check sync status on the device that last edited the content.
  3. Search All Documents and Trash.
  4. Review Version History and any private conflict copies.
  5. Inspect a recent export or desktop backup before taking destructive action.
  6. Contact support with identifiers and timestamps, never private body text or recovery material.

The content is found in its current location or you identify the strongest remaining recovery source without destroying the device-local copy.
