Approve a new encrypted device

Match the verification code, approve or reject the request, and complete setup before expiry.

  • Sign in and confirm the active workspace.

Before you start

An encrypted workspace may require an already authorized device to approve a new installation. Code matching protects against approving the wrong request.

Complete the task

  1. Start encrypted-workspace setup on the new device and keep its verification code visible.
  2. On an authorized device, open the approval request.
  3. Confirm that the workspace, device context, and code match exactly.
  4. Choose Approve, or Reject when the request is unexpected.
  5. Return to the new device before the request expires and finish unlocking.

Check the result

An approved installation can complete secure setup; rejected or expired requests cannot obtain workspace keys.
